I often use buying (or reforming) a house as an example to people who all agree to do due diligence when buying a house, read documents etc. Yet they let an unknown substance with unknown effects be injected into their body without informed consent. These folks all agree that their body is more important than their house. Basically they've lost the plot.
I know the feeling a good demo can produce! But Ron and I are in our 60s now, and taking a chance that one or both of us could get hurt and be unable to play music and/or sing is just too much!
"Why do THEY seem to avoid the “karma” they foist upon US?"
Indeed. I often wonder the same thing. Perhaps (and I speak philosophically here, not judgmentally) because there is no such thing as "karma." Perhaps it really is as Jesus says of God in Matthew 5: "He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." At least until the end of all things here. Although I will admit to struggling to understand it, if we live an era of grace, then judgement only comes at the end, the end of all things in this realm.

Home renovations I always do the destruction part. I'm really good at it. $aves a little. Looking forward to seeing how this goes for you and Ron.

I’m always changing my mind about stuff 😻but my projects have been outdoors (not sure I could handle a kitchen remodel😿)
Aww, kitten, if you can handle the predator-parasites, you can sail through a kitchen reno!😻
